Describe the most important lesson that you had learnt in your EIR journey using your favorite metaphor
I had my ups and downs in this CDS. It was tough, considering the fact that the seminar we learnt is not what I had pictured. But nevertheless I hold on and here I am, submitting my last assignment for the CDS. Yes I did want to drop and give up this CDS, but In the end I did not. I did learn a few tips, tricks and knowledge about the internet. But most importantly I did learn about my metaphor- a fighter who never give up.

invisible web
Do you think it is more effective to search the invisible web than using search engines, meta-search or subject directories? why?
Personally, I find using search engines much more effective and convenient. Search engine allows me to search websites that is more common and most of the time I can get what I want within the 1st page. Even though invisible web can get a more accurate but I find that using google and some Boolean operator is much more easy.
Do you think it is more effective to search the invisible web than using search engines, meta-search or subject directories? why?
It really depends on what does effective means to the user. If I want fast, a lot and not so reliable results, search engines are the best. If you are looking for fast, reliable but little results, meta-search is what I will use. If I don’t mind wasting time to get the most reliable result, I will try to use search the invisible web.
Name ONE database which you will use for your research topic. Why?
I will probably try to avoid using. If I have to in a situation, I will probably use TP EBSCOhost Databases. The article has a relevancy rating to help me and I can use Boolean operator to specify my search.

dream holiday: JAPAN
i always wanted to go to japan. i think japan is unique because one can find cities that are much more modern than singapore and yet some even more rural than us. i am interested to go to tokyo, where both modern and history could be found. for the 1st few days, i want to go to ginza, tokyo-the orchard of tokyo. i want to witness the grand nightly display of colorful neon. maybe do abit of shoping too. after that, i want to spend the rest of my time to relax, at Shukubo Komadorisanso, a japan mountain lodge that is located in its sacred mountain. there even a mountain view and a waterfall for us to enjoy.

i decided to go to Kinkaku-ji Garden, which means the temple of the Golden Pavilion's garden. the scenery is filled with flowers, waterfalls and trees. it is very peaceful. i decided to go in the temple which is located offshore. the temple ground is he only place accessible. inside the temple is a giant statue of a Buddha i assume. the place was peaceful, however, i find it too peaceful.
